Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or a Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Certification (required)
- At least one year of school-based experience preferred
- Prior exposure to supporting students with behavioral needs is a plus
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic settings
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teaching staff, students, and families
Core Responsibilities:
- Work one-to-one with students to support their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Assist with the implementation of behavior support plans and individualized educational goals
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other school staff
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment, responding calmly and effectively to student challenges
- Track progress and provide input on student achievements and areas for growth
