We're partnering with an exceptional school district in Norfolk County, MA searching for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary-aged students for the extended 2026 school year.


In this role, you'll provide individualized instruction for elementary-aged students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. You'll foster academic, communication, and social-emotional growth and collaborate with staff and families and create engaging, inclusive learning experiences that support student growth and success.


Position Details:

  • Location: In-person in Norfolk County, MA (no hybrid or remote options available)
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-1:30pm
  • Grade Levels: Elementary, K-5th Grade
  • Start Date: July 6th, 2026
  • End Date: August 6th, 2026


Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized, IEP-aligned instruction to elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a sub-separate classroom, targeting academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional development.
  • Implement structured, evidence-based practices to support skill acquisition, self-regulation, and engagement across the school day.
  • Differentiate instruction and classroom activities to accommodate diverse learning profiles, sensory needs, communication abilities, and executive functioning skills.
  • Utilize positive behavior supports and proactive intervention strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote independence, routine adherence, and peer interaction.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to ensure consistent implementation of IEPs, behavior plans, and individualized supports.
  • Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals using data collection systems, adjusting instruction and interventions to support measurable student growth and generalization of skills.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Primary/Secondary Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
  • Professional teaching license with a Special Education endorsement from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
  • Experience teaching elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs in the classroom setting; experience with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.
