Job Description
Job DescriptionWhat your day looks like
On first shift, you’ll take a seat at a dedicated bench and bring electrical components to life. Your morning starts by reviewing clear work instructions, then methodically assembling parts such as wall-style switches and other electrical control devices. You’ll route and secure wires, wrap leads around terminal screws, and build both plastic and metal switch subassemblies with steady hands and sharp attention to detail.
As builds progress, you’ll reach for familiar hand tools—pliers, screwdrivers, scissors, and blades—to trim, cut, and prepare wire. Some tasks move beyond the bench into machine assembly, where you’ll fit together mechanical and electrical pieces. If you’ve ever wired panels, that background will be a welcomed plus as you tackle wiring layouts and tidy terminations.
You’ll be doing
- Bench assembly of electrical components, including switches and electrical control devices
- Electrical wiring and terminations, including wrapping wire to terminal screws
- Building plastic and metal switch mechanisms (similar to the internal workings of a wall light switch)
- Following detailed instructions and assembly drawings or guides
- Using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, scissors, and blades to cut and prepare wire
- Machine assembly work as assigned
- Panel wiring experience is a plus
Schedule: First shift
