Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide skilled nursing care across multiple medical-surgical telemetry units in a dynamic hospital environment. This role requires flexibility to float among eight different units, delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population, including emergency department border patients and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiac monitoring and manage cardiac drips with precision.
- Interpret telemetry strips every four hours.
- Provide medication administration in the acute mental health unit.
- Deliver nursing care in medical-surgical telemetry units according to established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records for accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current Massachusetts RN license.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of two years acute care hospital nursing experience.
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, including interval measurement and strip interpretation.
- Experience with TR Band and cardiac drip management preferred.
- Ability to manage patient ratios of up to 6:1 during night shifts.
- Adaptability to float across various units with differing patient needs.
