Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accountant Analyst to join its Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division in Devens, MA. This role is ideal for professionals with strong cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing accounting experience. The selected candidate will partner with operations and business leaders to improve financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory analysis, and operational financial reporting.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and management reports.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile financial records.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
- Assist with financial audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with operations to improve profitability and drive continuous process improvements.
- Support automation initiatives using Power BI, Excel Macros, and financial reporting tools.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Recommend accounting process improvements and financial best practices.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and provide technical accounting support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in general and cost accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is a plus.
- Manufacturing experience is required; aerospace manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, Microsoft Excel, and business reporting tools.
- Experience with Power BI, Excel Macros, or financial process automation is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
