Job DescriptionOCES aims to support elders and individuals with disabilities by providing vital information and coordination of services that promote healthy, save lives for our consumers. We want to help them stay as active and engaged in their lives and in their own communities for as long as possible.To that end, OCES is looking for a dedicated Protective Services Worker (PSW) to work in our Protective Services department to investigate and substantiate allegations of abuse and neglect in the elder community.What you will do:Promote the independent functioning of members and provide services in the most appropriate, least restrictive environmentConduct investigations and evaluate the functional capacity, situation and resources of the elderDevelop and implement appropriate protective services plan to alleviate risk and abuseDetermine whether a petition to the court for a Protective Order exists and refer situations involving serious abuse to the appropriate District AttorneyProvide emergency PS department coverage during non-business hoursWhat you will bring:Your passion for helping others and desire to make a differenceAdaptability to be able to change as the needs of consumers and/or programs changeAt least two years of experience in the human services field preferably with the elder population and/or crisis interventionBachelor's degree in Social Work or related field highly preferred; Current licensure if appropriateBilingual preferredWhat you will get:Ability to work with an enthusiastic team of like-minded individualsOpportunity to develop professionally in your chosen careerGreat work/life balance: 35-hour work week with some flexibility; standard M-F workweek; hybrid work environment (home, office and home visits).Exceptional benefits: health benefits available on day 1; generous paid time off policies; company paid LTD and life insurances, 401K plan APPLY TODAY!OCES is an open, welcoming organization that respects our diversity.
