Summary
BVS, a Reggio-inspired Early Enrichment Center, is seeking a phenomenal Toddler teacher to join our exceptional team. Our program values the natural world, so candidates can expect to enjoy outside time, natural items within the classroom, and a homey feeling at our center.
Our Toddler program runs from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, ensuring that staff are scheduled for 40 hours per week. We are seeking an individual to help develop a child-centered curriculum, model appropriate interactions and caring relationships, and support children in their growth and development. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in Early Childhood Education, will be a Lead Teacher Qualified, will respect and understand that families play a critical role in our program, and will value a nature-inspired philosophy.
Duties
· Assist in implementing curriculum activities and encourage children's participation.
·Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
·Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
·Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
·Help ensure a smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
·Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Requirements
- CDA, Associate's Degree or Equivalent, and Lead Teacher Qualified in the State of NH.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional child care experience.
- High energy.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
- A strong understanding of child development.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Must clear a full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
