Job Responsibilities & Requirements
- Serve as a key resource for accounting operations, providing subject matter expertise, ensuring continuity, and helping train employees on accounting processes and procedures
- Manage key accounting processes and balance sheet accounts, including reconciliations, prepaid expenses, bank-owned fixed assets, check adjustments, instant payments, and related records
- Support the integrity of the Bank’s financial and operational control environment by applying sound accounting principles, maintaining internal controls, participating in operational audits, and identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Administer domestic and international wire transfers while serving as a resource and trainer for employees involved in wire processes
- Maintain and improve accounting procedures to promote operational efficiency, compliance, consistency, and alignment with evolving business needs
Qualifications
- Associate degree in business, accounting or related field is preferred
- Working knowledge of banking operations is preferred
- Experience with Axiom Financial Institutions Software (developed by Strata Decision Technology) preferred
