Exciting Opportunity for Infection Preventionist (RN or LPN)\n\nJob Description:\n\nJoin our dynamic healthcare team as an Infection Preventionist (IP) and make a significant impact on patient safety and healthcare quality! \n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n- Program Management:\n - Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention program, including policies and procedures.\n - Conduct ongoing surveillance and analysis to identify infections and reduce risks.\n - Utilize CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) criteria for tracking trends and identifying improvements.\n - Ensure compliance with Antibiotic Stewardship Program (ASP) regulations.\n - Coordinate annual infection control risk assessments.\n\n- Education & Training:\n - Provide comprehensive infection prevention education for all staff.\n - Serve as the go-to expert for residents, families, and the community on infection prevention measures.\n - Develop competencies to demonstrate understanding post-training.\n\n- Regulatory Compliance:\n - Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations.\n - Stay updated on CMS and public health guidelines.\n\n- Performance Improvement:\n - Actively participate in interdisciplinary quality improvement processes.\n - Report findings to the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee.\n\n- Occupational Health:\n - Develop and review occupational health policies regarding infection control.\n - Monitor exposure risks and implement safety measures.\n - Assist with immunization and screening programs.\n\n- Resident Care & Monitoring:\n - Monitor resident care practices and maintain health programs.\n - Contribute to the antibiotic stewardship program by overseeing antibiotic use protocols.\n\n- Facility Management:\n - Conduct environmental rounds to ensure compliance with infection control practices across all facility aspects.\n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
