Position Summary
The Seasonal Retail Staff (Nursery Associate) supports daily nursery operations by assisting customers, maintaining plant health, and helping ensure the retail store, yard, and greenhouse areas remain organized, safe, and welcoming.
This is a seasonal position, typically employed from March through the Christmas season, with scheduling needs increasing during peak business periods.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive customer service
● Assist customers with plant and product selection and general nursery questions
● Accurately operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system when processing transactions
● Work across multiple nursery areas including the retail store, outdoor yard, and greenhouses
● Perform hand watering and routine plant care as directed
● Stock, organize, and maintain plant and merchandise displays
● Maintain clean, safe, and orderly sales and work environments
● Assist with merchandising, seasonal displays, and restocking
● Help load customer purchases when needed
● Support opening, closing, and daily operational tasks
● Follow established safety procedures and nursery guidelines
● Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding tasks and customer needs
