Location: Cambridge, MA 02139
Duration: 3 Months
Pay Rate: $25.40 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM start, 8 hours per day
Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Summary

The Senior Site Specialist is responsible for managing laboratory inventory, stockroom operations, and shipping and receiving activities. This role involves using handheld scanners and mobile applications to maintain accurate inventory records, process orders, monitor stock levels, and provide customer support.

Key Responsibilities

Use handheld RF scanners and mobile applications to perform inventory replenishment, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, returns, and backorder processing.
Receive, inspect, scan, and store incoming shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages.
Respond to customer inquiries primarily through email and follow up by phone when necessary.
Support stockroom operations, dock management, chemical tracking, and material handling.
Identify inventory issues and communicate potential shortages to the appropriate team.
Work with supervisors and team members to improve daily workflows and operational efficiency.
Follow site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–3 years of experience in customer service, retail stocking, warehouse operations, or inventory control.
Experience with shipping and receiving.
Familiarity with handheld RF scanners or mobile scanning applications.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, especially email communication.
Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team.

Additional Skills and Physical Requirements

Experience with glass washing and gas management.
Knowledge of stockroom operations, dock management, chemical tracking, and material handling.
Ability to regularly lift 30–40 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual material handling frequently.
Ability to use pushcarts and pallet jacks.
Willingness to wear required PPE and work overtime when needed.
