Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry
Location: Windsor
Shift: Day/Night | 12-hour shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg and Rehab experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience required
- Previous travel experience (minimum 3 months) required
- Active Vermont RN License or Compact License required
- Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred
- Must be willing to float within scope of practice
- Block scheduling not available for this assignment
Job Description
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for Med Surg and Rehab patients
- Participate in patient and family education to promote continuity of care
- Provide leadership and collaborate with ancillary staff and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- May be required to function as a backup Charge Nurse
- Float to Med Surg, Acute Rehab, and other units within scope of practice as needed
- Maintain professional nursing standards in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation and charting
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:4–5
- Work every other weekend and holidays as required
- Candidate must have reliable transportation due to lack of public transportation in the area
