- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (7:00am – 3:30pm), 40 hours/week\n
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday\n

\n\nRequired Qualifications (Labor & Delivery RN)\n

- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)\n
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts\n
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required\n
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required\n
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required\n
- Documented fetal monitoring course (Intermediate or Advanced) within 2 years\n
- Successful passage of facility Pharmacology exam\n
- Recent OB/Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years (minimum 1 year experience)\n
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred\n
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English\n
\n\nKey Responsibilities – Labor & Delivery Nurse\n

- Provide L&D patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation\n
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses; comply with medication safety policies\n
- Perform fetal monitoring and document assessments, including physical, psychological, social dimensions, and discharge planning\n
- Initiate and communicate plan of care to multidisciplinary team members and allied patient care providers\n
- Serve as a resource for patient care, orientation, and education of staff; provide patient and family teaching\n
- Demonstrate charge nurse competencies and utilize computerized nursing informatics for documentation\n
- Participate in quality monitoring, performance improvement, and adhere to safety and blood/body fluid policies\n
- Represent the hospital in the community and maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards\n
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor to ensure service excellence\n
