Job description:

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance operations of our residential properties. This role is responsible for completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, responding to resident requests, and ensuring properties are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliance repairs
  • Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner while maintaining high customer service standards
  • Prepare apartments for move-ins and turnovers, including inspections and repairs
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce future repairs and ensure building systems operate efficiently
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed, including after-hours on-call rotations
  • Maintain common areas, grounds, and mechanical rooms in clean and safe condition
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized repairs are required
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and local building codes
  • Accurately document work performed and materials used
  • Communicate effectively with property management staff and residents

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in residential or property management environments preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve maintenance issues independently
  • EPA Certification and HVAC experience preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-time position
  • On-call rotation required
