Working as an integral member of the Information Technology (IT) Department, the IT Developer and User Support staff is responsible for supporting web-based application development, assisting users, developing an efficient and robust IT environment, evaluating and resolving support issues, and escalating requests to more senior members of the IT Team. This is a full time, 40hour per week entry level developer position.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties
- Assist with developing a well-documented, efficient, and robust IT environment.
- Evaluate support issues with regards to those systems, providing exceptional user-support, and escalate requests to more senior members of the IT team.
- Assist with ongoing evaluation, repair and improvement of existing programs and systems.
- Support efforts for integrating other IT products into the IT department toolset.
- Realize assigned objectives associated with coverage for other IS staff in the event primary is unavailable.
- Demonstrate collaborative involvement in planning and operations.
- Responsible for reporting work targeting automating reporting, improving efficiencies in generation, validation, and distribution of reports, as well as communicating and responding to reporting concerns.
- Complete other assigned duties and responsibilities consistent with knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Represent CLM in a professional and appropriate manner in all settings.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities identified or assigned by supervisor in accordance with CLM & ITS departmental policies and procedures.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
The majority of the work takes place in an office setting. Manual dexterity is needed to use computers and standard office equipment. Reliable transportation is required for travel to/from office locations. The ability to sit for extended periods of time is required.

The Center for Life Management has partnered with New England College to offer a Master’s Degree! This is an exciting opportunity for CLM staff to earn a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS) degree in 3 years.
Who’s Eligible and What’s Required:
- Must be a regular, full-time CLM employee in good standing for 9 months or more.
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Must agree to a five (5) year commitment of full-time employment in good standing with the Center for Life Management (beginning from start date/year of Professional Development Program participation).
- Participants must maintain a B average to continue participation in the program.

Requirements:
Qualifications and Skills
- Trade school, college or related experienced in information services/programming training.
- Preference provided to those with prior web application development experience.
- Proficient computer skills and solid understanding of Microsoft products (Office 365), HTML, relational databases.
- Basic understanding of hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks.
- Experience with MySQL and Java frameworks preferred.
- Experience with React, Node.js, and Express.js.
- Experience with Github repository.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate, both orally and written, technical information to others.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing projects while adhering to deadlines.
- Ability and desire to work as part of a team while also able to be self-directed and motivated in work.
- Ability to acquire and effectively execute new skills as needed according to evolving department needs.
