Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed nurse to serve as a Pharmacy Nurse Consultant, functioning as the critical link between pharmacy services and long-term care facilities across Northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The position combines office-based responsibilities with fieldwork, including traveling to multiple client locations within the region to support seamless coordination and deliver comprehensive consulting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage data entry, documentation, and routine communications in an office setting
- Conduct training sessions and educational programs for facility staff regarding pharmacy and facility systems
- Perform monthly onsite visits, providing detailed reporting to enhance client success and operational improvements
- Assist with survey preparation, medication cart and room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested
- Collaborate with internal pharmacy teams to facilitate excellent client service and support
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current LPN or RN license with at least one year of experience
- Proven background in long-term care environments
- Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is preferred
- Flexibility to work varied shift times as facility needs dictate
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel, including potential overnight stays (all mileage and accommodations covered)
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- Rare weekend work required
- Shift times will vary based on client facility schedules
