Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a licensed nurse to serve as a Pharmacy Nurse Consultant, functioning as the critical link between pharmacy services and long-term care facilities across Northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The position combines office-based responsibilities with fieldwork, including traveling to multiple client locations within the region to support seamless coordination and deliver comprehensive consulting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage data entry, documentation, and routine communications in an office setting
  • Conduct training sessions and educational programs for facility staff regarding pharmacy and facility systems
  • Perform monthly onsite visits, providing detailed reporting to enhance client success and operational improvements
  • Assist with survey preparation, medication cart and room inspections, and medication pass observations as requested
  • Collaborate with internal pharmacy teams to facilitate excellent client service and support

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current LPN or RN license with at least one year of experience
  • Proven background in long-term care environments
  • Familiarity with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, and Frameworks is preferred
  • Flexibility to work varied shift times as facility needs dictate
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel, including potential overnight stays (all mileage and accommodations covered)

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Rare weekend work required
  • Shift times will vary based on client facility schedules

This direct hire opportunity requires candidates to be located locally with a readiness to travel within their assigned territory. The role offers a blend of office work and field consulting, ideal for professionals seeking a dynamic and impactful position without direct clinical duties.

If you are a licensed nurse with long-term care experience seeking a consulting position that combines travel and healthcare expertise, apply today to explore this unique career opportunity.

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.00 to $22.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
