We are a growing investment management firm expanding into integrated tax and family office services. We're seeking a Senior Accountant to take a lead role in tax preparation and consultation as we bring new clients onto our platform, which includes tax prep, financial planning, trusts, estates, and investment management.
Job Description:
- Prepare tax returns for individuals and some small businesses/partnerships across multiple states.
- Work directly with clients on financial data collection and communication.
- Stay current on tax laws and communicate relevant strategies to clients.
- Assist with tax planning and provide recommendations to optimize clients' tax exposure.
- Coordinate with advisors on tax and wealth management strategy.
Requirements:
- Must reside within 100 miles of our Venice, FL or Boston, MA (suburbs) offices; remote role with periodic office visits required, especially during tax season.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience; CPA or EA certification required, with a focus on tax return preparation.
- Strong working knowledge of individual and corporate tax law across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in one or more accounting software packages (ProSystem FX, Drake, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage projects, particularly during tax season.
