Automation Test Engineer

Job Description

What will you do:

In this role, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and reliability of embedded networking software across a range of hardware platforms. You will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and system architects to ensure high-quality product releases.

Get knowledge of various Fire panels and their components, communication processes.

How will you do it:

· Work along with CSG dev team, responsible for the software releases, regression.

· Test various communication protocols in CSG, Connectivity and stability of the system.

· Debugging and troubleshooting the failures/logs of CSG.

· Understand and work on next generation Fire Detection system features.

· Maintain core focus on CSG and Safelinc, central station and get an understanding on rest of the components like Panel, TSW, etc. As we might hop on and off between Fire detection components.

What we look for

A strong automation testing engineer would have some of the following skills:

1) Programming language: C#/Python/Java.

2) Unit Testing Frameworks: e.g. XUnit, NUnit.

3) Automation Tools: e.g. Selenium.

4) CI/CD Integration.

5) Networking knowledge, understanding of TCP/IP, UDP and various ports usage.

6) Understanding of different communication protocols is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

Ø Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Ø 4+ years of experience in embedded software QA, preferably in networking domains. Hands on test process experience and Test automation skills

Ø Networking skills i.e., understanding of Networking protocols, ports and sockets etc.
