Role Description The Licensed Acupuncturist position now available is a part-time, on-site role based in Worcester, MA. This role involves conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing acupuncture and related modalities in accordance with best practices and applicable regulations. Daily responsibilities include performing acupuncture treatments, utilizing techniques such as moxibustion and herbal recommendations when appropriate, documenting patient encounters accurately, and monitoring treatment outcomes. The Licensed Acupuncturist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educate patients on treatment goals and self-care strategies, and participate in case discussions and quality improvement activities. The role also includes maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards, and supporting a positive, respectful patient experience.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Medicine and Oriental Medicine, with the ability to integrate Eastern and Western approaches to patient care.
- Proficiency in Acupuncture techniques, including point selection, needling methods, and treatment planning.
- Experience with complementary modalities such as Moxibustion, and other modalities such as cupping etc will be helpful.
- Active state license as an Acupuncturist (or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts) and graduation from an accredited acupuncture or Oriental medicine program.
- Solid clinical assessment and documentation skills, with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory and ethical standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and build trust with diverse patient populations.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, familiarity with current best practices in integrative medicine, and willingness to participate in continuing education.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries, ensure patient safety, and uphold confidentiality and informed consent in all clinical interactions.
