Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real impact in the lives of students as a Special Education Teacher supporting a mental health/behavior self-contained program for the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you will serve a small caseload of approximately 10-16 students, providing case management, conducting evaluations, writing reports, and collaborating closely with fellow educators and support staff. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating an inclusive educational experience that empowers students to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid New Hampshire Teaching License (required)
- Experience working in special education settings, ideally with mental health or behavior support programs
- Strong case management abilities and familiarity with IEPs, evaluations, and team meetings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral supports within a self-contained classroom environment
- Manage a caseload of 10-16 students, coordinating services and accommodations as needed
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and document outcomes
- Prepare detailed reports and participate in meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Create a positive, safe, and structured classroom climate
This position offers a school-year schedule from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with school hours from 7:30 AM to 2:20 PM and a weekly commitment of 32.5-35 hours.
