Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver skilled nursing care in a fast-paced hospital environment, supporting multiple medical-surgical telemetry units. This role requires flexibility to float across eight different units, providing acute care to diverse patient populations, including ED border patients, acute mental health patients, and ICU transfer-ready non-vented patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, measure intervals, and interpret strips consistently every 4 hours.
- Administer cardiac drips and manage TR Band applications.
- Support medication administration on the acute mental health unit.
- Deliver quality nursing care across various units such as Davenport, ED, and ICU overflow.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for all charting and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Massachusetts RN license.
- Minimum of two years of acute care hospital experience, preferably in telemetry and med/surg settings.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and telemetry strip interpretation.
- Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Ability to adapt to a floating role across multiple units.
Schedule and Location:
- Night shift and every-other-weekend schedule, approximately 36 hours weekly.
