Job Summary:
Program, operate and monitor Haas CNC machines (mills) to produce precision parts in accordance with
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation:
- Set up and operate Haas CNC machines (e.g., VF series mills, ST series lathes).
- Load raw materials and secure them properly.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as necessary.
- Quality Control:
- Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect finished parts.
- Verify part conformity to blueprints or CAD models.
- Identify and correct defects in real time.
- Programming & Setup (optional/advanced):
- Create CAM routines based upon CAD Models in Fusion 360 or Inventor CAM.
- Generate Programs and bring into HAAS CNC Controller.
- Interpret G-code and make minor edits to CNC programs.
- Collaborate with team members on setup sheets and tool paths.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance on machines (lubrication, cleaning).
- Report malfunctions or worn tools to the maintenance team or supervisor.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 1–3 years of experience operating CNC machines (Haas required)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with basic machine shop math
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Compensation details: 22-29.5 Hourly Wage
