For 25 year, Halpern Titanium, Inc. has been a trusted partner in precision manufacturing, known for high-quality machining and a deep relationship with the knife industry.
As the exclusive manufacturing partner behind TRM Knives, we are entering a high-growth phase. We need an experienced machinist and programmer to help increase our production and make prototypes for new models.
This person will work closely with the owner, so you'll need a passion for quality and a calm head under pressure.
Check out our TRM website TRMknives.com and hundreds of YouTube reviews (Atom, Neutron, Tagalong etc.)to get an understanding of the quality required to manufacture TRM high-end folding knives and fixed blades to meet the expectations of our customer base around the world
What You'll Do
- Program CNC Vertical Machining Centers
- Work with prototype designer developing fixtures for new products
- Redesign fixtures and use Mastercam to program fixtures for multiple parts
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and work with the team to optimize processes and reduce downtime
- Mentor machine operators and increase their skills to grow in-house capabilities
- Collaborate directly with ownership and engineering to improve workflows and support new product development
- Contribute ideas, solutions, and elbow grease- we are a small team that values input and initiative
What You Must Bring
- 15+ years in a machining and manufacturing environment, including CNC programming using Mastercam
- Communication and organizational skills
- A "no job is to small" attitude and the ability to work independently
- A personality that works with our team- humble, focused and obsessive about quality
- Experience in the knife industry or a strong desire to learn about making knives
