Your Daily Role

  • Conduct setups and manage operations on CNC and manual machines including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and detailed specifications.
  • Implement stringent quality checks to uphold our product standards.
  • Diagnose and fix machining equipment issues, ensuring machines operate at peak efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production staff to enhance processes and to troubleshoot issues.
  • Lead training initiatives to support and develop junior machinists and apprentices.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures while keeping an orderly workstation.

Your Qualifications

  • Diploma or GED required, with preference for additional technical training or machining certification.
  • At least five years' experience in machining, displaying strong CNC programming knowledge.
  • Skilled in employing measurement tools like calipers and micrometers effectively.
  • Exhibit excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Capable of both independent work and collaborative team efforts in a dynamic setting.
  • Communicate effectively with a professional demeanor.

You should excel in:

  • Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T)
  • Problem-solving with troubleshooting skills
  • Creating and modifying CNC program code
  • Understanding G-Code and M-Code
  • Setting up machines for production runs
  • Manual machining expertise

Machinery and software you'll operate includes:

  • 3-4 axis VMC CNC Mill including brands such as Fanuc, ProtoTRAK, and Haas
  • 2-4 axis CNC Lathe including Haas, Okuma, and DMG Mori Seiki
  • Mitsubishi CNC Grinder
  • CAD programs like Solidworks
  • CAM tools including Mastercam
  • Cylindrical Grinder Machines
