Join Our Team at Cedar Healthcare Center – Nursing Floor Supervisor (Evenings)

Cedar Healthcare Center, a senior living and rehabilitation community in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Floor Supervisor (LPN or RN) to join our team of evening aids and nurses.

Position: Floor Supervisor (RN preferred)

Schedule: Full-Time, Evenings (3pm – 11pm)

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Pay Range: $33.00 - $51.00 (based on years of experience and licensure)

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to evening nursing staff throughout the facility

  • Float between units to support resident care, staffing needs, admissions, and urgent clinical situations

  • Supervise and direct the daily activities of nurses, LNAs, MNAs, and support staff

  • Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination activities

  • Assist with wound care, medication administration, treatments, and other direct nursing services as needed

  • Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff are performing duties appropriately

  • Support infection control, QAPI, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance initiatives

  • Assist with staff coaching, performance concerns, and team development

  • Maintain adequate supplies, medications, and equipment availability during evening operations

  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment

  • Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical and operational questions during the evening shift

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current, unrestricted nursing license (RN preferred, LPN considered) in the state of New Hampshire (or compact-state).

  • Nursing degree from an accredited program

  • Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred

  • Previous charge nurse, supervisor, or management experience preferred

  • Current CPR certification

  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and remain composed under pressure

  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
