Join Our Team at Cedar Healthcare Center – Nursing Floor Supervisor (Evenings)
Cedar Healthcare Center, a senior living and rehabilitation community in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a dependable and compassionate Floor Supervisor (LPN or RN) to join our team of evening aids and nurses.
Position: Floor Supervisor (RN preferred)
Schedule: Full-Time, Evenings (3pm – 11pm)
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Pay Range: $33.00 - $51.00 (based on years of experience and licensure)
What You’ll Do:

Provide clinical leadership and oversight to evening nursing staff throughout the facility

Float between units to support resident care, staffing needs, admissions, and urgent clinical situations

Supervise and direct the daily activities of nurses, LNAs, MNAs, and support staff
-
Participate in admissions, transfers, discharges, and care coordination activities
-
Assist with wound care, medication administration, treatments, and other direct nursing services as needed

Conduct rounds to ensure resident needs are met and staff are performing duties appropriately

Support infection control, QAPI, survey readiness, and regulatory compliance initiatives

Assist with staff coaching, performance concerns, and team development

Maintain adequate supplies, medications, and equipment availability during evening operations

Promote a positive, collaborative, and respectful work environment

Serve as a resource and mentor for clinical and operational questions during the evening shift
What We’re Looking For:
-
Current, unrestricted nursing license (RN preferred, LPN considered) in the state of New Hampshire (or compact-state).

Nursing degree from an accredited program
-
Minimum 2 years of direct care experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric care preferred
-
Previous charge nurse, supervisor, or management experience preferred

Current CPR certification

Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and remain composed under pressure
-
Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
