Job Summary
As C4T’s Senior Manager, IT Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our business-critical applications and IT infrastructure (both cloud and on-premises) while developing the long-term strategy for these systems. In this role, you will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of all IT services, driving standardization, enhancing monitoring processes, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Additionally, you will strengthen and mature IT operational processes, compliance controls, and change management practices to maintain a stable and secure technology ecosystem during a critical growth phase as we advance through late-stage clinical trials. You will also lead the IT Operations team managing direct reports and coordinating with external IT support vendors to deliver efficient support and robust IT services across the organization. Your passion for customer service and for building strong, detail-oriented IT ways of working, cultures, and teams will be key as you play a key role in the evolution of C4T’s information technology infrastructure and operations.
Your Role
- Oversee and execute daily operations of enterprise applications, infrastructure services, IT support, day-to-day environments (cloud/on-prem).
- Lead, train, coach, develop and retain personnel on the IT team as assigned, cultivating a high-performance, accountable IT team culture.
- Implement and continuously improve standardized IT operational processes, including establishing effective monitoring and alerting systems, increasing automation of routine tasks, and maintaining up-to-date documentation for all operational procedures.
- Own and mature change management workflows, ensuring compliance with GxP, SOX, and internal standards for systems under compliance scope such as NetSuite and Veeva, ensuring that infrastructure and application environments maintain strong security, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Direct the operation and support of core enterprise applications and collaboration platforms, particularly those in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, etc.), ensuring that these systems are well-integrated, secure, aligned, and evolving with business needs.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, application, service, and project owners ensuring IT operations provide reliable service, timely incident resolution, and meet SLAs, aligning IT operations initiatives with broader business objectives and needs.
Your Background
Required:
- A minimum of ten years of IT experience, with at least five years in IT roles within a Life Science setting (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or vendor) overseeing critical business applications, systems, and infrastructure and enforcing uptime and performance standards, including previous managerial experience.
- Strong background overseeing, maintaining, and evolving IT infrastructure (both cloud and on-premises) environments with proven IT operations execution experience across applications, SaaS platforms, infrastructure, and service desk domain, with experience driving, evolving and implementing automation, maintenance, within IT operational processes and systems.
- Knowledge of operational best practices, including ITIL, Change Management, SOP development, and compliance control maturation with demonstrated success managing and implementing related processes to drive evolution.
- Proven track record of vendor management responsibilities, including identifying potential technology partners, generating RFPs, reviewing SOWs and MSAs, defining performance metrics and ensuring mutual accountability for the partnership in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams.
- Familiarity and expertise operating within Quality and Compliance frameworks, such as GxP, SOX, and data integrity principles.
Preferred:
- Hands on experience operating in late-stage clinical or commercial stage biopharma environments.
- Working knowledge of the Veeva modules utilized for document management, regulatory submissions, and Quality events.
- Implementation of AI tools to optimize organizational efficiency and productivity without compromising data security or integrity.
- Proficiency with common cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
Compensation
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $171,782.00 and $190,340.00 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
