Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation services with passion and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of comprehensive rehabilitation programs across multiple care settings. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, compliance with rehabilitation regulations, and the continuous improvement of clinical practices. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation programs aligned with best practices and regulatory standards to optimize patient recovery outcomes.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary clinical team, including, skilled nursing staff, and rehabilitation specialists, ensuring cohesive teamwork and high-quality care delivery.
- Oversee patient care processes, ensuring individualized treatment plans that incorporate physiology and anatomy knowledge while addressing diverse needs such as disabilities or visual impairments.
- Ensure compliance with all rehabilitation regulations, safety protocols—including manual handling and heavy lifting procedures—and accreditation standards.
- Manage operational aspects of the rehabilitation department, including staffing schedules, resource allocation, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Stay current on advancements in rehabilitation medicine and integrate innovative techniques into practice to enhance patient recovery experiences.
Requirements
- Proven experience in rehabilitation medicine within long-term care facilities or rehabilitation centers, demonstrating strong leadership in clinical team management.
- Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and rehabilitation regulations essential for effective program development and compliance oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver patient-centered care while managing complex cases involving disabilities or visual impairments.
- Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support (BLS), with additional training in acute care preferred.
- Hands-on experience with physiotherapy techniques, manual handling procedures, and heavy lifting safety protocols.
- Prior experience working within skilled nursing facilities or similar healthcare environments that emphasize rehabilitation services management.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients about their rehabilitation process.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $114,400.00 per year (range dependent upon experience and licensure)
