Duration: 13 Weeks
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Shift Details
- Night Shift – 3x12 Hours
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 36 Hours per Week
- Every Other Weekend Required
- Rotating Holidays Required
- Potential to float to Med/Surg Tele units based on patient census and operational needs
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical care experience, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex patient conditions while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while ensuring compliance with hospital standards, safety guidelines, and nursing best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial patient needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Serve as a clinical resource for staff and patient care support
- Utilize computerized charting and nursing informatics systems effectively
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Adhere to infection prevention and hospital safety protocols
- Float to Med/Surg Tele units as needed based on operational requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Massachusetts
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Previous ICU/Critical Care nursing experience required
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Successful completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia competency exams
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- CCRN Certification
- TCAR Certification
- De-escalation Certification
- Experience with:
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Ventilator management
- Intracranial pressure monitoring
- Prior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- RN License – Massachusetts (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- CCRN Certification (Preferred)
- TCAR Certification (Preferred)
