MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Diversified Technologies, Inc. (DTI) seeks a student intern to join its fast-paced, innovative business. DTI is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high-power electrical equipment. Our exceptional engineers and scientists collaborate to develop the worlds most powerful radar transmitters, pulsed power units for state-of-the-art processing in food, energy and wastewater, and advanced R&D for national laboratories. Term:
- Summer 2026
Responsibilities:
- Support DTI engineers, scientists and technicians
- Assist in developing new designs and production documents (drawings, test plans, etc.)
- Mechanical assembly and light fabrication, occasionally with power tools
- Assist with fabrication, assembly of systems
- Support subsystem testing and results documentation
Requirements:
- Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering degree program as a Junior or Senior
- Basic knowledge in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and sketches
- Demonstrable analytical skills and hands-on aptitude
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel and Word required
- Ability to interact with scientists, engineers, draftsmen, and technicians
- U.S. Citizen
Other:
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD a plus
