The Entry-Level Procurement Specialist will assist the Buying Team with order execution, ensuring data integrity, maintaining material readiness, and providing team dashboard reporting. The role also involves resolving receipt and shipment issues and participating in various projects as required. You will be instrumental in new product launches and coordination, maintaining on-time supply, managing vendor relations, and assisting with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing buying orders and maintaining data integrity.
- Ensure material readiness for new product launches.
- Coordinate with vendors to maintain on-time supply and resolve any shipment issues.
- Participate in team dashboard reporting and other project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, product development, and supply chain partners to enable product launches and shape sourcing strategies.
Essential Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems (Oracle EBS preferred).
- Experience in supply chain management, purchasing, and procurement.
- 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, global procurement and operations manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP and Agile/Engineering PLM System.
- Understanding of data management and databases.
- Experience managing procurement needs for new product introduction programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and basic SQL knowledge.
Work Environment
The position is fully onsite, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, including a 1-hour lunch break. The environment is highly demanding yet collegial, emphasizing teamwork and collaboration. You will be at the intersection of innovation and execution, turning early-stage product concepts into real solutions, navigating ambiguity, and solving complex supply chain challenges.

This is a Contract position based out of North Reading, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
