HVAC Maintenance Worker – Education Facility

Location: Needham, MA
Type: On-site

Pay Range: $39–$43/hour (depending on experience and certifications)

Overview:

A leading educational institution is seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Worker to join their facilities team. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on HVAC experience and a proactive approach to maintenance and repair. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, repair, and install HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Inspect, test, and calibrate pneumatic control systems and related equipment.
  • Clean and maintain grills, ducts, shaftways, and filters in A/C and heating units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and document service records.
  • Respond to emergency repair situations promptly.
  • Maintain inventory and tools required for HVAC operations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and demonstrate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes.
  • Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude toward clients and coworkers.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Valid HVAC License
  • Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair


Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in the education industry or similar institutional settings
