Job Description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare consultancy opportunity is available for a licensed LPN or RN with expertise in long term care and pharmacy collaboration. This role serves as a vital liaison between pharmacy services and long term care facilities across Northern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and parts of Maine. No hands-on clinical duties are involved; instead, the focus is on consulting, training, and facilitating seamless communication between pharmacy teams and healthcare facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting educational training sessions for facility staff on startup processes and system use upon request.
  • Performing scheduled onsite visits and reporting to support ongoing client success and quality improvements.
  • Managing data entry, phone communications, documentation, and meetings within an office setting.
  • Collaborating with internal pharmacy teams to coordinate services efficiently.
  • Assisting facilities with survey preparation and conducting medication cart and medication pass inspections as requested.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Active LPN or RN license with a minimum of one year working in a long term care environment.
  • Experience with pharmacy and medication distribution software such as EMAR, Medbank, or Frameworks preferred.
  • Ability to work varied shift times and maintain a flexible schedule Monday through Friday.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to assigned facilities within the Northern MA region, NH, and ME; overnight stays may be necessary.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage both office and field responsibilities effectively.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday with variable shift times depending on facility needs.
  • Rare weekend work required.
  • Standard 40-hour workweek.

This direct hire position offers a unique blend of consulting and hands-on support without clinical patient care involvement. Mileage and hotel accommodations for travel will be covered as needed. Candidates must be local or willing to travel frequently within the designated territory.

If you have a passion for improving long term care pharmacy services and meet the requirements, apply to take the next step in your nursing consultancy career.

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.00 to $22.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
