Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Supporting student success in a Title 1 elementary school setting, this role involves assisting teachers and students in a dynamic, educational environment. The position is located in Dover, NH, and offers a contract through mid-June 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instructional support to students under the guidance of certified teachers
- Assist in classroom management and routine to ensure an effective learning environment
- Support students' individual academic and social needs
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement educational plans
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations as needed
Qualifications:
- Must possess an associate degree, equivalent college credits, or a Para 2 certification from the state
- Experience working in educational environments, specifically supporting elementary students
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week, consistent with school hours (students arrive between 8:05-8:20 a.m. and are dismissed at 3:05 p.m.)
- Strong references required: three references including at least two from supervisors
- Effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting diverse learners
