Partners in Child Development is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of every child to maximize their potential. Our programs include an Early Intervention Program for children ages 0-3, our Anderson School, a special education school for children ages 3-12 who have complex medical needs and Woodbridge School, our early childhood education program. The Anderson School in Andover, MA provides a safe and nurturing special education school for students ages 3-12 years old with complex medical needs to maximize each student’s independence and growth. Our highly skilled, experienced and dedicated staff provide individualized instruction and support including educational and therapeutic programming. Our stimulating classroom setting includes specially designed classrooms to promote positive and active learning. High staff to student ratios including nurses in each classrooms enable our 11-month program to have non-traditional learners experience a traditional school experience. Family support is paramount including providing various on-site clinics and services to help our parents.

We are currently looking for a part-time Physical Therapist to join our staff!


The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing one-to-one and small group physical therapy to students with identified needs around functional gross motor skills. The Physical Therapist will work closely with classroom teachers, parents/guardians, other therapists, nurses, and teaching assistants. School hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and follows a school calendar, with a summer session. This position is 8-10 hours per week, with the potential to increase hours as we grow in the coming months!


Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts PT license
  • Education commensurate with holding current licensure as a Physical Therapist issued by the MA Board of Registration in Allied Health Professionals
  • Experience working with students ages 3-12 in a Special Education setting
  • Suitable background and fingerprint checks
  • Must be able to sit, bend, kneel, and lift 25 pounds
