Overview
RISE Foundation is seeking motivated, technology-focused students and emerging professionals to serve as Information Technology Interns.
This internship provides hands-on experience supporting the technology needs of a growing nonprofit organization. Interns will work alongside IT leadership and gain exposure to technical support, systems administration, cybersecurity, software platforms, data management, and technology operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fields.
Position Description
The IT Intern will assist with day-to-day technology projects and help ensure that RISE Foundation's staff and volunteers have the tools and support they need to work effectively.
Interns may assist with technical support, account management, software administration, documentation, cybersecurity initiatives, and technology research.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with basic technical support and troubleshooting.
- Support staff and volunteer technology onboarding.
- Assist with user account and access management.
- Help maintain IT documentation and technical guides.
- Assist with software and platform administration.
- Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
- Help organize technology assets and equipment records.
- Assist with testing software and digital tools.
- Research technology solutions for organizational needs.
- Support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other organizational platforms.
- Assist with data organization and technology-related projects.
- Help document technical procedures and workflows.
- Support website and digital platform projects as appropriate.
- Assist with technology-related research and special projects.

Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college, university, graduate program, or career program.
- Interest in Information Technology or a related field.

- Professionalism and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to the mission of RISE Foundation.
Preferred
- Coursework in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Experience troubleshooting computers or software.
- Experience with cloud platforms or collaboration tools.
- Previous technology, volunteer, leadership, or internship experience.
Previous professional IT experience is not required.

Schedule
