Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

\n

• Work in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with cardiac specialty focus
\n• Patient ratios: 1:4 during days, 1:5 during nights
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• 2 years of experience required with strong PCU background within the last year
\n• First-timers accepted only with EPIC experience and 2 years experience
\n• Float required to similar units as needed
\n• No call required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BCLS, EKG test on arrival
\n• EPIC experience required
\n• Must work at least 2 out of 3 major winter holidays if contracted during that period
\n• Any scrub color acceptable
\n• Care for patients with chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumonia
\n• Handle medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, and orthopedic overflow patients
\n• Perform post cardiac catheterization care with stent placement
\n• Manage ICD/Pacer insertions and cardioversions
\n• Titrate cardiac drips including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin
\n• Work with equipment including BiPap, CPAP, Vapotherm, Alaris Pumps, and Phillips Monitoring System
\n• Valid NH state license required
\n• References required

This acute care hospital is a 300-bed facility that maintains trauma center designation and utilizes EPIC charting system. The healthcare organization provides comprehensive medical services with extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility offers free parking and maintains high standards for patient care across multiple specialty units.
