Responsibilities of the Brazing Operator
- Read and interpret blueprints and instructions to ensure accurate execution.
- Set up the work area each day following provided instructions.
- Ensure first piece sign-off is completed to maintain quality standards.
- Adhere to proper PPE policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges of workpieces using soldering iron, gas torch, or electronic/ultrasonic equipment.
- Grind, cut, buff, or bend edges of workpieces to ensure a snug fit before joining.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Requirements of the Brazing Operator
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or certification in metal fabrication or welding preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in brazing or a related field.
- Proficient in the use of various tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and handle up to 10 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination to perform precise tasks.
