Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Fitchburg, MA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position is designed for educators skilled in managing diverse special education needs within a sub-separate classroom setting, with a strong focus on behavioral strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students across K-12 grade levels.
  • Manage caseload effectively, addressing academic and behavioral goals for each student.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of students with a range of disabilities and behavioral challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education (SPED) license.
  • Experience working in special education, particularly in sub-separate classroom environments.
  • Strong knowledge of behavior management techniques and individualized instructional planning.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, full time.
