Summary:

• The Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This is for specialized computers and displays and requires assembling ESD sensitive delicate components and cables.
• Looking for someone with a positive attitude and team player.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge/capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on the manufacturing floor.
• Technical capacity to understand the parts, drawings and bill of materials (BOM).

Responsibilities:

• Function in a Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.
• Assemble/test parts using drawings, bill of material.
• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping, is required
• The ability to use common hand and power tools may require use of specialized tools
• Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting, and proper functioning of parts
• Meet job completion and ship dates
• Reports on defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor
