Summary:
- The Electro-Mechanical Assembler works in a one-piece flow cell performing bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools. This is for specialized computers and displays and requires assembling ESD sensitive delicate components and cables.
- Looking for someone with a positive attitude and team player.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Able to work with limited supervision in a team environment.
- Demonstrate knowledge/capability to build and possibly do limited testing on units on the manufacturing floor.
- Technical capacity to understand the parts, drawings and bill of materials (BOM).
Responsibilities:
- Function in a Lean manufacturing environment, adding value by reducing waste.
- Assemble/test parts using drawings, bill of material.
- Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods, including crimping, is required
- The ability to use common hand and power tools may require use of specialized tools
- Follow documented procedures in fitting, adjusting, and proper functioning of parts
- Meet job completion and ship dates
- Reports on defective materials or questionable conditions to the production supervisor
