Desired Qualifications:

  • Holds a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
  • Experience with school-aged children or adolescents, preferably in academic settings
  • Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy techniques and IEP processes
  • Excellent communication abilities for working with students, families, and staff
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet individualized student needs
  • Comfortable maintaining documentation and tracking progress per school and state requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student
  • Deliver one-on-one and small group therapy sessions in accordance with students’ IEP goals
  • Support students in developing functional motor skills for school participation
  • Work closely with teachers, aides, and parents to integrate physical therapy strategies into daily activities
  • Participate in IEP meetings to provide expertise and make recommendations
  • Maintain thorough and timely case notes, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Provide training and resources to educational staff as needed to foster inclusive classroom environments
