Desired Qualifications:
- Holds a valid Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience with school-aged children or adolescents, preferably in academic settings
- Strong understanding of pediatric physical therapy techniques and IEP processes
- Excellent communication abilities for working with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet individualized student needs
- Comfortable maintaining documentation and tracking progress per school and state requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of each student
- Deliver one-on-one and small group therapy sessions in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Support students in developing functional motor skills for school participation
- Work closely with teachers, aides, and parents to integrate physical therapy strategies into daily activities
- Participate in IEP meetings to provide expertise and make recommendations
- Maintain thorough and timely case notes, documentation, and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide training and resources to educational staff as needed to foster inclusive classroom environments
