Job DescriptionLegal Assistant Legal Assistant

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our legal team in managing litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in litigation processes and be familiar with various legal research tools and court procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and depositions
  • Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings and motions
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources
  • Manage case files and maintain accurate records
  • Prepare summaries of depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents
  • Perform court docket searches and monitor case progress
  • Assist with client communications and scheduling appointments
  • Stay updated on Massachusetts Rule 9A and other relevant legal regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal, specifically in litigation
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and PACER
  • Knowledge of FINRA regulations is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
