A day in the life
You kick off by reviewing technical drawings and work instructions, setting up your test stand, and plumbing hydraulic circuits with the right hoses, valves, and regulators. You bring systems safely up to pressure—often beyond 6,000 PSI—track readings on analog gauges, and capture data on the job traveler. When something looks off, you troubleshoot, correct, re‑test, and sign off with confidence. You close the loop by documenting results, updating records on a basic computer system, and sharing insights with your teammates.
What you’ll own
- Set up and execute functional tests on precision bellows, subassemblies, and finished components
- Interpret technical prints and follow work instructions accurately
- Use mechanical tools and calibrated test equipment to verify specifications
- Identify issues, perform corrective actions, and retest to compliance
- Balance quality and throughput with a disciplined approach
- Enter data and track jobs using basic computer applications
- Support the team by sharing knowledge and helping train others
What you bring
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem solving
- Fluency reading prints/schematics and following written procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and safety
- Working knowledge of hydraulic plumbing: hoses, valves, regulators
- Demonstrated safe work with high‑pressure systems exceeding 6,000 PSI
- Comfort reading and interpreting analog pressure gauges

Compensation
Hourly rate range: $23.00–$28.00. Roles eligible for a 15% premium when worked on second shift. Final rate determined by relevant experience, skills, and qualifications.
