Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in school settings, providing services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position, lasting the full school year, is located in Taunton, Massachusetts, and offers a dynamic environment to support diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress for K-12 students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication needs.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians, when applicable.
- Facilitate communication and cultural competence, especially within bilingual Spanish and Portuguese-speaking student populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Minimum of three years of experience working in school-based settings.
- Proficiency in both Spanish and Portuguese languages is highly desirable to effectively serve bilingual students.
- Previous experience supervising SLPAs and CFYs is preferred, though new graduates with strong enthusiasm and foundational skills are welcome.
- Ability to manage a full K-12 caseload efficiently and compassionately.
