Location: Falmouth, MA
Job Type: Contract
Pay Rate: $38–$46 per hour

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a GI Technical Assistant for an exciting Travel job in Falmouth, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and surgical procedures.

  • Prepare and set up procedure rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.

  • Obtain vital signs and position patients to ensure comfort and safety.

  • Provide support to patients in the recovery area as needed.

  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopic equipment and related supplies.

  • Complete required environmental and equipment monitoring documentation in compliance with state and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate effectively with Sterile Processing regarding additional procedures and specialized equipment needs.

  • Maintain and monitor inventory of medical and surgical supplies to ensure availability and accuracy.

  • Assist the Surgical Suite team with operative scheduling, patient transport, and operating room preparation.

  • Perform shave preps according to physician orders and established protocols.

  • Report equipment shortages or defects to the Supply and Equipment Supervisor.

  • Attend mandatory programs and participate in at least four unit staff meetings annually.

  • Assist in orienting new staff under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

  • Participate in on-call shifts as assigned.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Minimum of two years of recent experience within the past five years as a Nursing Assistant II, C.N.A., or Endoscopy Technician (EC Tech), or one year of recent experience within the past five years in a direct patient care position in Perioperative Services.

  • Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control principles preferred.
