Overview
We are seeking a Quality Technician II to play a key role in supporting our manufacturing operations. This position focuses on developing, evaluating, and improving processes using proven quality concepts and methodologies—all to ensure products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints with strong knowledge of GD&T.
- Approve products for shipment by ensuring proper documentation and certifications are in place.
- Monitor and maintain calibration of gauges and measuring equipment.
- Perform and review in-house calibrations and coordinate with outside vendors when needed.
- Support the production floor by interpreting documentation and training staff in proper measuring techniques.
- Inspect manufactured and raw materials at receiving and production stages.
- Collect, analyze, and present quality data and metrics.
- Prioritize daily QA lab work orders and support internal audits.
- Develop calibration procedures in alignment with ISO standards.
- Drive corrective actions for customer complaints and internal process issues.
- Provide hands-on training for new quality inspectors.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or continuous improvement environment with hands-on inspection.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T.
- Familiar with calibration procedures and quality systems.
- Solid math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, email, and online tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information in small groups.
- Quality Technician certification is a plus.
Education
- Associate degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
