Job Description\n
American Traveler seeks an Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist with 5+ years of experience and FEES competency for a day shift hospital assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Hospital acute care setting with a focus on complex cases
- Manages patients with head and neck cancer, tracheostomy, and dysphagia
- Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, 40-hour day shift schedule
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
- Responsible for evaluating and treating patients with complex communication and swallowing disorders
- Develops individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and progress
- Collaborates effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Adheres to strict confidentiality and protocols regarding sensitive information
- Must set priorities and manage workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Parking fees may apply and more information is available upon request
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers except for specific units

- Active MA State SLP license required at time of consideration
- ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum 5 years SLP experience with acute care and complex cases
- FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) competency required
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
- Basic computer proficiency including MS Office
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity in diverse healthcare settings
- Two professional references on file with at least one from a manager, and one evaluation within the last 12 months
- License required if applicable
