Multiple full-time opportunities are available in Substantially Separate Classrooms serving K-1st and 3rd-5th grade students with severe cognitive and physical disabilities. You will work closely with other specialists and, in some cases, RBT support staff to implement tailored educational plans. Your expertise in specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis will be vital in students’ growth, particularly as you help support those who are on the spectrum or non-verbal. Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience with K-5 student populations, preferably in substantially separate settings
- Comfort and skill supporting students with significant disabilities, including toileting assistance
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) and specially designed instruction
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, adaptability, and a commitment to inclusive, evidence-based teaching
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom aides, therapists, and support staff
- Monitor progress, adapt strategies, and participate in IEP and team meetings
- Foster a safe, supportive environment for students with varied communication abilities
- Provide toileting and mobility support as necessary
