POSITION SUMMARY Maintains facility and equipment in safe and proper operating condition. The Maintenance Mechanic repairs and maintains production equipment, troubleshoots equipment failures, and performs routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance. In addition, he or she assists with the install of new equipment and fabricates new equipment or supplemental pieces when needed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 3:00 PM until the work is completed.

Training: This position requires at least one month of training on the day shift before transitioning to the night shift.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains complex production equipment
• Troubleshoot failure and repairs
• Predictive maintenance of equipment and facility
• Scheduled and emergency maintenance of equipment and facility
• Performs basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities, grounds and buildings

• Boiler room compressors

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
• Excellent computer & communication skills
• Strong mechanical, electrical and machine shop skills
• Must have 2nd class fireman license or higher or the ability to obtain one
• The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of mechanical experience; 1-3 years is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to work in hot and cold environment; production environment
• Must be able to stand, climb, reach, walk, kneel, bend and pull for 8+ hours
• Must be able to regularly lift 50-75lbs & push and pull up to 200lbs
