- Create production-ready 2D AutoCAD drawings for steel structures, automation equipment, and large robotics projects.
- Partner with Revit modelers to ensure 2D/3D alignment on geometry, clearances, and design intent.

What you’ll own
- Produce and maintain 2D AutoCAD layouts and equipment arrangements with complete revision histories.
- Perform checks for accuracy, completeness, and CAD-standard compliance.
- Translate engineering sketches/specs and architectural plans into clear design packages.
- Support senior designers and engineers on complex programs; incorporate changes quickly and cleanly.
- Identify minor design issues and recommend practical solutions within guidelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve drawing-related questions early.
- Deliver scheduled updates that minimize rework, field inquiries, and installation delays.
About the team
System Layout Engineering sits within Manufacturing & Supply Chain. We design customer warehouse layouts, enable supply chain execution, and support installation—merging internal and external feedback to lower material costs and compress project timelines.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of AutoCAD design experience in engineering, architecture, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Expertise in 2D AutoCAD with a track record of accurate, detailed deliverables.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks; comfortable seeking guidance as needed.
- Strong communicator with organized, well-documented work.
- Nice to have: background in material handling, automation systems, or industrial environments.
Where you’ll work
- On-site presence at Wilmington, MA HQ is required.
Travel & logistics
- Up to 20% travel may be required; you must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive and/or fly to client/customer sites.
- Use a personal credit card for business expenses; reimbursements are processed bi-weekly.
Who you’ll collaborate with
- 3D Revit Team for model alignment.
- Sales, engineering, manufacturing, and installation for requirement clarifications and issue resolution.
