Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Body Technician role located in Ashland, MA. The Automotive Body Technician will repair and restore vehicle bodies by assessing damage, removing and replacing damaged panels, straightening frames and structures, and preparing surfaces for paint. Daily tasks include performing collision repairs, aligning and fitting body components, sanding and masking vehicles, and working closely with painters to ensure accurate color matching and finish quality. The role involves conducting basic vehicle maintenance related to collision repairs, documenting work performed, following safety procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The technician will collaborate with estimators and other team members to meet repair timelines and deliver consistent, high-quality results for customers.

Qualifications

- Strong collision repair skills, including damage assessment and structural repair.
- Auto body repair abilities, including panel replacement, bodywork, and surface preparation.
- Paint-related skills such as sanding, masking, and coordinating with painting processes.
- Experience with vehicle maintenance and general maintenance & repair tasks.
- Previous experience as an automotive body technician or in a similar collision repair role.
- Ability to read and follow repair orders, technical manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Commitment to safety practices and proper use of tools, equipment, and protective gear.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods as required by the role.
- Relevant vocational training or certifications in auto body repair or collision technology preferred.
